21 Jun Crow’s Feet Botox
“Crow’s Feet” are the fine lines that appear around the corners of our eyes when we smile. These lines result as a contraction of a circular muscle around our eyes known as the orbicularis oculi muscle. In some patients these lines are quite minimal, and an endearing feature of our facial expression. In other patients these lines are quite extensive and distracting. This is especially true in the COVID-19 era, as the use of face masks has resulted in increased attention to our eyes. These lines are easily treated with botulinum (“botox”) injections, typically around 5-10 units per side, though doses can vary widely. Treating this area can result in significantly diminished lines, regardless of your age. The before-and-after photo below demonstrates the dramatic improvement seen in some patients.
